This form is ONLY for dogs being surrendered that have not been in the HBR program. If your dog was previously adopted from HBR, please use the HBR Dog Surrender Form.
Often times we find a dog, rescue a dog, or need to surrender a dog. Please note, we are Purebred Boxer Rescue. While we often have mixes listed on our site, they are sponsored financially and fostered by their finders or courtesy posts for other organizations. Please do not complete this form is your dog is not a purebred boxer. Below are two links that describe Boxers.
We will not accept mixes into our program unless they have a committed foster and financial backing until the dog is adopted. If you are unsure if your dog is a mix or purebred, please email pictures(full body and close up head pictures) to Surrender@HoustonBoxerRescue.org.
Houston Boxer Rescue is here to help you with the boxer you have found or need to surrender.
This form is a Release of Ownership and Transfer of Ownership, from you to Houston Boxer Rescue.
Please understand that Houston Boxer Rescue is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization and is 100% volunteer based. We do not have a “shelter”. The dogs in our program are boarded in one of our few foster homes.
We do require you to get a heartworm test, fecal test, and a rabies vaccine before we can accept your dog into our program. There are low cost vet clinics in and around Houston.
We do require vet records before we can accept your dog.
The answers you provide will help the representatives of HBR find a “Forever Home” for this boxer.
Please answer all the questions completely. Please answer honestly and give all details about your dog.
Upon completion of this form, HBR will review and respond within 72 hours.
We require pictures and video's of the dog prior to review. If we do not receive these items, we will close your application after 72 hours.
Pictures should include: full body of the boxer, teeth, and head. Video should include the boxer with humans and other dogs and if possible, cats.
Thank you.
