Little Bit here and I'm a 2 1/2 year old Brindle Boxer girl. My friends call me BIT for short. Since you are on here reading about me, we will consider each other friends.
My family has had me since I was a young girl, but they are putting me up for adoption. Here's the deal - I don't like toddlers and small children. They irritate me and are just not as fun as older kids. My humans live in an area with lots of small kids and so it just isn't working out. Therefore, I am up for adoption here at Houston Boxer Rescue.
Other than that one thing, I'm a great dog. I like other dogs and I don't mind cats and I will be fine with kids over 12 years old...or who are much taller than me...but, little, baby toddler kids for me.
I will have all of the KEY boxer traits of being fun-loving, bright, and active. As Boxers, we were the first dogs trained in Germany to be police dogs, so we are used to working. What that means is that I need exercise every single day. Take me for a walk or play frisbee or throw the ball for me and then I'll be ready to hang out with my humans for the rest of the day.
YES, we Boxers love humans. As Boxers, one of our key needs is to be with our humans and get our loves and affection. This makes our whole body happy and we wiggle and twist, which is often referred to as the Boxer peanut move!
Remember, we Boxers are strong, quick, and busy. We are always on the move and eternally curious. We need plenty of exercise and we enjoy mental challenges…like how to open a door when you are not home, or how to find the last piece of dogfood that slide under the dishwasher or refrigerator!
Stay tuned for more information about me OR if it is love at first sight, complete an application for LITTLE BIT...and bring a LITTLE BIT of Boxer love into your life.
