My foster home is really cool and I am learning how to fit in very well!  My foster Mom says I am a touchy, feely, loving, guy.  If I am loose in the house I like to stay near my peeps.  If they sit down, I will lay my head on their chest.  I like the other dogs here and have learned to sit and wait my turn for treats.  I don't even snatch food from the hand which is pretty amazing considering a short while ago I was starving on the streets!

We are working with a leash and on basic commands.  Evidenty no one loved me enough to teach me anything so I am a blank slate.  But I am eager and willing to please!  I am acclimated to my crate and if everyone is busy I often go in it all by myself.  My one vice is that I like to collect things.  I will go around the house putting my lips on various toys and when I find something just right, I take it to my crate.  The good thing is I don't mind if one of the other dogs takes something back out.

Over time I have been watching the cats that live here.  I don't make a fuss about them, just watch.  The other day I actually sniffed one and stared as it walked away.  It is possible I could do okay with a cat if it was already dog friendly and we were very supervised.

The other day there were five children under the age of 5 at the house.  I did very well with them under supervision.  One of the youngest liked to put his arms over my back and lay his head on me and I didn't mind at all!  I might be a little shy at first with large groups of people or if there are loud noises, but once I realize no one else is bothered, it helps me understand everything is okay.

Why in the world would any person with a brain, not want to keep me?  Well, maybe that question answers itself...
