I am Punkin... I was found in pretty bad shape. I was emaciated and covered in fleas. That can happen to a girl when she is living on the streets. I am happy to report that I am now in foster care and I'm gaining weight and starting to look much better, and HBR is just beginning to learn new things about me.
There are other boxers in my foster home and I am doing very well integrating into my temporary pack. Riding in the car was nice, much better than walking! And I was a good girl. I am crate trained and consider it my safe haven. I was given a bath and while its not my favorite thing, it felt good to be clean! I'm not much of a jumper and respond quickly to correction, but boy do I love to race around the yard!
Tennis balls are my favorite and I am learning to like my very own chew bone! I don't exhibit any resource gaurding whether over food or toys. I am gentle when taking a treat from your hand or 'giving' you a toy when asked. I'm learning about the leash and sort of spooked by my own shadow. But I will learn how much fun and safe it is to be on lead.
Please stay tuned for updates on me, I can't wait to be someone's very own punkin!
