Psst! Psst… You! Yes, you! Come here. Yeah! You came! Thank you for stopping by my profile! I am sooooo excited that you are finally here! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Hensley and I am looking for my furever family. My foster mom created this acrostic poem to describe all of my finer points, and I think she nailed it! Take a look at it and let me know what you think.
H – Happy & Healthy,
E – Endearing & Enchanting,
N – Nonstop Playfulness & Fun,

It’s awesome! Isn’t it? Seriously though, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am just over a year old and I am a lovable, huggable, snugglable, bundle of young boxer energy! I love other dogs, and I love, love, love, kids! In my foster home I have two fur siblings and two human siblings. And you know what? I love them all! I play a lot with all of them. Guess what? I even helped supervise homework when school was in session. What you don’t believe me? I did, I swear! Just checked out the photos that are posted and you will see for yourself.
Hmmm… Let’s see… What else can I tell you about myself? Oooo! I know! I am super smart and very curious. Everyone who meets me says that I am one of, if not the, smartest dog they ever did meet! If you add up my genius, curiosity, and love of family, you get a family member who loves to learn new things and who loves to please! So far, I have learned to become “crate trained”, walk on a leash, play with toys, and trust people. I love to ride in the car and am always up for a walk or an adventure. My foster mom says I am about 95% housebroken. The only time I have accidents (and they are only #1 accidents) is when I get scared, or when I am left alone for too long. But hey, I guess no one is perfect. Right? I wonder what you will teach me if we spend some time together.
Oh! I know what I forgot to tell you. I am a lover! I enjoy being pet, snuggled, and I like to lean on people to show them that I love them and that I trust them. I also show people that I love them by giving kisses. My foster mom says I give the sweetest and softest kisses. And guess what? I have a habit of always sticking my tongue out. Some people say that its silly, but my foster mom says it’s so I am always ready to give a kiss to whoever need one.
You know what? If I had to list the things that I love most about being part of a family they would be toys (especially balls, I never met a ball I didn’t want to play with or chew), treats, going on adventures, and last, but certainly not least (actually it’s my favorite) it would be being with people who love me and who I can love back. And although my foster family loves me and is wonderful, and of course I love them, I still really, really want to find a family of my very own! When I close my eyes at night, I dream about being adopted into a family who will take care of me, play with me, and most importantly love me forever! My dream family would have kids (of any age, or just people who want to play with me), at least one other dog to run with, and finally someone who will want to spend time with me and snuggle often. I really hope you are part of my forever family. Why don’t you fill out an application and we can see if we are a match?
Oooo! Ball! Gotta go! Bye!
